The comfort of a good snore

My Christmas lunch yesterday filled me to the gunnels, leaving me content and … droozy.  I seem to have done little but doze and sleep in the twenty-four hours since.  Graham, who is obliged to eat far smaller portions, did much the same.

So the little house under the pines has been a place filled with the gentle and sometimes not so gentle sound of snoring.

Well, it’s one way to spend a good Christmas.

  1. In fact, it sounds like an excellent way to spend Christmas. Glad the feast seems to have settled well for all consumers.

  2. Naps can be needed.

I was awake all of yesterday, but I was reading after lunch today and found myself nodding off.

  3. There are lots worse ways of spending a day off. Snoring is nothing to be sneezed at!

Mine was also simple but lovely, and did not even include food or napping, but candles, peace and books-on-tape! i am very pleased to hear of your happy contentment.

  5. Indeed if the snoring disturbs no one. (I even mute the commercial here with the snoring person) :-D

  6. Dining and dozing is a fine and restful way to celebrate. It’s only the young who want to roll up the rugs and have the fiddler in. I spent the day noshing and nibbling and napping myself. ;-)

  7. More hugs from here, and hope you had a little more awake boxing day. :)

  8. We’re having our OD holiday Open House again this year. We’d love to have you “drop in”.

Glad you had a wonderful day, John. And the little house under the pines and it’s occupants are doing well.

  10. Sounds like you got it just right.
