On our way to Sainsbury’s this morning, we called in to visit Graham’s mother, at her request during a phone call about an hour before we left. Sadly, she’d forgotten all about it when we arrived so for a short time I was sucked into an old lady’s confusion. No matter. The painter man was just finishing the last of his job, so Graham promised a return trip tomorrow to unpack and restore his mother’s stuff to its rightful places. I’m excused that one except for chauffeur duties, so I’ll treat myself to a breakfast at Morrison’s.
The trip across the nether regions into Swansea was uneventful. Neither of us wanted lunch there so that was a short visit, too, though we did a greatly successful shop and shall not need to re-stock until Sunday at the earliest. If I can work it we’ll wait until Monday so as to restore our routine.
It’s still dry, though cloudy and chill. We’d left the gardening work with some reluctance but hope that the dry weather will last until Friday when we hope to finish the clearance job.
So, with the eye-watering aroma of an enhanced chicken Madras curry floating through from Graham’s big new fry-pan, another day draws to a close. I have my glass of wine by my side, and lift it in salute to you all.
