All those leaves have a huge carbon footprint so they must all be raked up, put into jumbo jets, and flown to some tropical destination where they will be studied by a select group of United Nations diplomats and eco-celebrities. A five volume summary report of preliminary conclusions and recommendations will be printed and distributed worldwide.

Leaf disposal is not a problem in my small town. No one cares about them, including the town council. We’re left to rake and dispose of them as we see fit. That even includes burning them if they’re not too sodden with the rains. No one uses leaf blowers. The next good blast of wind would just bring the leaves right back into their own yards again.

Good golly they should be around here where people used the blasted blowers and send the leaves in the street to clog drains! Our city may be in to recycle things, but not leaves.
