Firefox here, always. Have IE7 for those (very few) sites that don’t work properly and therefore need it.

Like John, “I don’t take kindly to being obliged to learn new things without new advantages”, but that’s just a cost of running Microsoft products.

If I could be bothered learning, I’d give Ubuntu a whirl, but I fear it wouldn’t play nicely with Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, etc. No doubt there are “free” alternatives to all those, but there comes a point where enough dabbling’s enough, you just need to get your work done…

Seems like every page on Yahoo urges me to upgrade to IE8. (Microsoft must be paying good money for that ad.) I’d thought of it, then tried a Korean version on another computer and decided not to. IE7 works ok, though I miss my old IE5 after all these years. Thanks for the “heads up,” John. There’s no point in change just for change’s sake. The automobile companies have the corner on that; Microsoft doesn’t need to buy into it. And I shan’t encourage them to do so.

I find it interesting that AccuChek will not even work in Firefox. Found other things that don’t seem to either. But I like the way tabs open in it. Can’t figure out IE7′s tabs.

Not upgraded yet, and by the sound of it, I may NOT.
If Graham’s name was supposed to be showing up as a link, since it was underlined, it didn’t take me there ?
That’s the amount of my technologic wealth, or lack of it

Like I said to Graham – we use Firefox. If something doesn’t work right, I just call up our computer pal and he fixes things.

Computer literate??? nope, not me.

I shall let you know how Graham gets on with IE 8. Me, I’d uninstall it if I could be bothered but it’ll sit there happily enough–I only use it once a week for portfolio management.

Firefox here and all the computers communicate well together. We love it. G’s company tried IE7 and were very unhappy …very. I keep an old IE5 on mine to deal with one single problem site, but all else love Firefox.

IE 8? My goodness, I’m still using IE6 on my work computers (with Firefox as an alternate) and Firefox on my personal machine (although I also have Chrome and IE7 on that machine I rarely use them).

I kind of like IE8 but had to remove it from one of the PCs I manage at work… it was “freezing” Windows Vista!
