We were forced out of the house today to get Graham one last roll of the vinyl lining paper he’s been applying to the walls in the hall, stair well and landing. It’s a job he enjoys, is papering walls, but we underestimated the number of rolls he’d need to finish the job.
From Wickes, we decided to treat ourselves to a sit-down coffee at Starbucks, just a little way up the road at Fforestfach. That was good, as was the wander through Borders on our way out into the maelstrom of a Welsh shopping park on a Bank Holiday.
I bought a book. A book so delicious I could eat it for dinner. Haiku Inspirations by Tom Lowenstein. So beautiful. And even now, after all these years, the bellies of Buson’s frogs are still safe and dry:
