A small, sudden poem:
Broken by a heavy squall
a single daffodil, face down.Rescued, trimmed, propped
upright on my windowsillit smiled as if in sunny relief;
I recovered a reason to shave

lovely. Thank you.
And a lovely daffodil! Thank you for that, as well.
Now – isn’t that the smartest thing I’ve seen in a long time…(or else I’ve been that dense). Propping the daff up in a container with plastic wrap ! I’d have never thought of that in a million years, John! I’ll consider this my – ‘learn one new thing each day’ – lesson for today!
Nice little poem – and glad you found a reason to shave!
Now will you please come and give Wil a reason to shave?
I love daffs, I miss them so thanks for yours!
How beautiful, a bit of sunshine. Thank you.
Thank you, Johm!
(just call me Mr. Fumblefingers)
Such good cheer.
So fresh and sunny and winsomely pretty! Lacking the real thing, I appreciate so much your sharing yours, Joyn! Mmmm, think I just caught a whiff of its fragrance, as well.
beautiful!
Nice and tight, a jewel of a poem, John!
I would have probably said “salvaged” but “recovered” is so much better.
And the daffy really does seem to smile! I wonder, is ‘daffy’ related to the Welsh name?

Sweet and gentle poem, a sentiment infused by the sight of a bright daffodil in dire need of rescue. Prompting your senses toward a sunny and cheery mood, the power of daffodils, I love them too. Thanks for sharing John!
How can one feel bad in the presence of a daffodil?
Miss Daffodial seems to be so happy now, shining from petal to petal! And thanks for the perfect little daffodil poem!
John, lovely pic to go with the apt verse, a nice pairing. Spring is here… evidently. I am almost starting to believe it now!
