VLOG: Our garden

Responding to demands for photos I thought I’d go one better and do a video walk and talk tour.  It was sunny this morning, and good to be out and about in the garden.

Oh, and in addition, I went to the doctor for a physical exam this morning.  My chest is sparkling clean, not a wheeze nor a rattle.  In fact he jested that it is in better shape than his own.  There is no infection or anything else to justify the cough so he’s taking the approach that my winter cough, now subsided, has been replaced by one of a type known to be a problem with Ramipril.  So I’m off the ACE thing for two or three weeks, with instructions to go back then to see what the overall effect might be.  He says that he’s willing to prescribe a second-generation ACE for me at that time, more expensive, but devoid of the several side-effects of the old ones.  Mind you, the sunshine helps.

A new poem

WAITING FOR MOVEMENT

I trudge
slowly
hoping that with the next shutter click
I shall have moved
perceptibly.
Or, at least,
with some left-stage, right-stage progress.
And still
the leaves blow
the sun shines
and San Francisco is there, smiling.

I should perhaps explain that the main reference for ‘San Francisco’ is my current addiction to the online ‘fogcam’ at University of San Francisco, which I visit frequently when in need of a bit of California.
