What a great picture! You were dead on with what the peacocks were thinking judging by the looks on their faces. I’d love to have peacocks visit in my yard. Does that happen often?
And then we started imagining what Dolly’s reaction would be to such creatures (and theirs to her) and doing captions for *that* and got the giggles all over again.
Bet that cat never ever saw a bird that big before, and is probably praying it’s all just a bad dream. Birds big enough to have him/her as an hors d’oeuvres! Aieeee!
This is funny! It reminds me of when I was twelve, and a Canada Goose ‘imprinted’ on me and decided I was his mate. He followed me home and set up house in the bushes under yy window. We had a fearless lhasa apso at the time, and the goose (who I named General Lee because he’d been flying south when he found me) was the first creature ever to intimidate little Daisy dog. She gave that goose a wiiiiide berth the whole time he lived with us!
What a catch of a picture!! I am amazed that the kitty doesn’t seem too perturbed by the pair of giant birds. And they, in turn, seem quite taken by their close encounter with a feline kind. ‘Local peacocks’? What’s their story?
Perfect title for that picture. Who was alarmed? Dolly doesn’t appear so.

Peacocks are too plain to excite Dolly. The make a terrible racket from time to time.
They’re beautiful, John. All we have are wild turkeys that traipse through our yard now and again.
I’m so surprised the cat is just sitting there!

We laughed and laughed at this!

“I think it’s dinner,” she replies.
OH! That cat is so curious alright!

They may be loud, but peafowl are relatively harmless. Now, turkeys might knock the stuffing out of that poor cat!

The cat: “One step closer and I’m outta here!”
You should post this with the caption to icanhascheezburger.com!
There just has to be a lolcats caption for this.
