Strange things are happening here, mixed in with good things. They forecast snow and then change their mind. Bankers screw us all, and qualify for bonuses I couldn’t dream of. Dolly seems to be happy and content all day and all night. Graham keeps almost starting on the cork and then pulling back (don’t ask). And the power keeps cutting out at unfortunate moments, frightening me off of writing anything in the way of a long entry even though I do have the urge.
If it were not for the splendid, wondrous, efficient and friendly car service I got this morning, I’d suspect that either the entire universe is against me or a certain Mr Murphy is trying to mess with my life.
Time to go to bed.
Don’t forget Murphy was an optimist. Hang in there. Our baseball spring training is about to start.
Oh, that Mr. Murphy. Don’t pay him any mind, John. Mrs. Murphy never did, you know. SHE knew he was just that sort who had to worry about everything and let the world know about — all that stuff about things going wrong, not necessarly. Pay it no mind.
I guess it is just your turn.
Mary Lee just did me in! lol. I’m gonna laugh about that all evening! She’s too much.
I would say that Mercury is in retrograde, but the last time I said that someone thought I was serious and lambasted me.
We had 0C or barely above last week here, and then over the weekend and today 20C! So it is that a few handfuls of daffodil buds opened up like so many sunbursts perched on greenery amid the fallen leaves, and I captured them with my camera of course… My camera is usually at the ready, me, I just follow.
We live in a world where our minds and attitudes are in constant need of flexing and overflexing…

It’s the full moon John, I had a weirdy/shitty/sometimes ok day too. Nearly done now anyway
We had a lovely, sunny day with the temp nearly 10 C/50 F, and … no Taeborum (Big Full-Moon) festival! The wretched city council apparently spent all the money on a series of rock concerts last fall. Bah! Humbug!! I was all primed and ready, too. Shopkeepers have been handing out free peanuts for most of the last week.
Today I was being done in by printers, all of which seemed to be convinced that they were out of supplies, regardless of the reality. Here’s hoping whatever it is settles down.
