There, QuickTime gone, and I can locate no problems arising. I’m going to get Norton busy on a full system scan now, which’ll just about clear up my evening Internet time.
See ya’ll tomorrow, and I’ll report…

Strange things are happening on this computer. I suspect they are unrelated, but we live in times when suspicion is seldom totally unwarranted.
First, early this morning, a number of my passwords disappeared. That cost me a fair amount of time and effort to counter.
Then, this evening, a strange Xanga blog with one one-line entry appeared, purportedly from me. I deleted it (all I ever do on Xanga is comment on close friends’ blogs) and, hopefully, that’ll be the end of the matter. My apologies if there are any repercussions…
Finally, I asked Norton to investigate, and discovered that QuickTime has been going wild, altering Windows start-up options.
I’m just about to delete QuickTime. If I disappear from the face of the pixelverse for a time, you’ll know what happened. Rest assured, I ain’t goin’ nowhere…
